Stanford Mini’s visited Eton Manor on Sunday in drizzly, dull conditions. A depleted Stanford under 12 side played a good Eton Manor in a tight match, and after two breakaway tries by the home side, lost 14-0. In their second match, Stanford under 12’s produced a good performance to beat Harlow 21-0, with tries by Joe Meadows, Nathan Hickey and Jack Scott, and conversions by Jake Barrand (2) and player of the day Brad Burrows.

 Stanford under 10’s suffered at the hands of older and more experienced opponents, losing 35-5 to Harlow under 11’s and 42-0 to Eton Manor under 11’s. Stanford’s try was scored by Carla Harper.

 Eton Manor B under 9’s drew 10-10 with Stanford in a scrappy match, with tries from Dominic McDonald and James Kitchen. Stanford under 9’s then produced a better performance in beating Harlow 10-0. Scorers were again James Kitchen and Dominic McDonald. They then lost a very tight game 5-0 against their great rivals Eton Manor A, who produced some tremendous tackling and put pressure on the Stanford players.

The Stanford under 7 squad played four games, and came out on top in three. They beat Eton Manor under 8’s 20-15, Eton Manor under 7’s 20-15, Harlow under 7's 25-15 and lost 20-25 to Harlow under 8’s. Scorers were: Louis Webb 4, Albert Aldham 3, Sam Egar 2, Sam Moran 2, Jamie Gray 2, Dan McAllister, Callum Jones, Callum Lennox and Simon Powell.
