Stanford under 11's and under 12's travelled to local rivals Thurrock for floodlit matches on Wednesday night. In the under 11 match, Stanford fought hard to match the ferocity of the Thurrock forwards and at half time were still in the match, which stood at 3 tries to 1. Stanford scored with a good forward drive early in the second half, but Thurrock scored a beautiful individual try in reply. The Grays based side then pulled away, scoring 2 more unanswered tries, to win 30-10. Stanford tries were scored by Nathan Hickey and Geoff Smith.

Stanford's under 12 side put in a great performance in the local derby to win 12-0 and extend their unbeaten run to five. Thurrock were reduced to kicking to touch, due to the pressure they were put under by Stanford. Thurrock did well to keep the score down, with Stanford camped in their opponents half for much of the game. Captain Emily Scott and Bradley Burrows produced some powerful runs and Stanford’s first try came from prop Joe Meadows, who had scored in the teams’ previous two games. Stanford’s second try resulted from quick scrum ball, with Bradley Burrows feeding on to Jake Barrand, who in turn passed to try scorer Jordan Harper. Jake Barrand added the conversion.
