The borough team's under 9s had a great tournament and picked up the plate competition. The under 9's drew 0-0 against Upminster Lions with ferocious tackling. In their second match they beat Bishops Stortford 25-0 with James Kitchen, Liam Page, Dominic McDonald and George Taylor the scorers. Westcliff were the next opponents and the Southend side scored a last minute try to win 5-0. Stanford's Dominic McDonald made sure the team progressed in the tournament, scoring twice in the 10-5 win over Sudbury. In the plate final against Upminster Tigers Stanford won 25-0, with tries from Liam Page 2, George Taylor, Dan O'Flaherty and Sean Bunney. Special mention should go to the forwards, James Wade, Connor Lalieu, Ryan Quinn and Jacob Dennis, and Josh Goshmanski - in his first festival.

In the under 11's competition Stanford also won the plate competition. Stanford lost to Braintree and Upminster 1st but produced a 10-5 win over Brentwood (with Nathan Hickey and Geoff Smith as scorers). Stanford triumphed over Sudbury in the plate competition knock-out and in the plate final they were level pegging with Upminster but a Nathan Hickey try - and in a golden try from the borough's Geoff Smith - clinched it.

Under 12's from Stanford started with a 25-point rout of Burnham, a close tie with Bishops Stortford and a setback against Westcliff, losing 15-0. Against Sudbury - chasing a semi final slot - good kicking by Bradley Burrows and a great Callum Wall try helped them win. Stanford lost their semi-final 15-0 to an unbeaten South Woodham side.

At the Under 13's Festival at Westcliff an under strength Stanford lost to Tring, Barking and Thurrock.
