Injury hit Stanford under 13’s battled bravely at the Rec, with some excellent tackling by the home side, to go into half time 7-10 down. In the second half, the Southend outfit upped the pace, with their fast-running backs running in four tries in the last ten minutes. Coach Gareth Harper said that he was proud of his squad, and that the team were in the game until the end. Mitchell Stanley and Dean O’Connell scored tries, with Jordan Harper kicking a conversion. The under 13’s will be at Basildon on 21st November, with the Minis section away to Eton Manor on the same day.
